After a string of successes including work for ESWC, MLG, and most recently PAX we will be working on behalf of the International Video Game Hall of Fame to help run the “Big Bang 2010″!  What is this, you ask?  Well … only one of the biggest Video Game events that you can go to in the entire region.

Warfactory’s role in this event is to provide all sorts of help, but mainly to drive the BYOC and Tournament sections of the event.   What’s that mean for you gamers?  How does this sound:

• ‘Round the clock entertainment with a BYOC area and classic arcade open 24 hours a day.
• Great bands every night in our 100,000 square foot outdoor beer garden.
• Witness dozens of world record attempts by some of the greatest gamers of all time.
• Opportunities for you to go head to head with world champion gamers.
• Tons of contests and prizes Game Hall of Fame.  You will have unprecedented access to many of the inductees for meet and greets, photos and autographs.
• Fantastic Historic gaming memorabilia much of which has never been displayed publically.
• All attendees will have a chance to vote on the greatest Video Game of ALL TIME!
• Plus great food, side attractions, thousands of fellow video game enthusiasts and some of the most hospitable people you’ll ever meet

As usual, we’ll promote the best tournaments around.  Currently there is $10,000 in cash prize for Counter-Strike, Halo, Quake, and Super Smash Bros.  Of course this is only the beginning as our team works tirelessly to find more sponsors to make this the biggest, baddest event we’ve ever done.

The winners of the event were Trauma Gaming, followed by Tu Madre and Ram Rod.  For a brand new game, we had some great competition and settled on rules that worked for the event.

High Schools and Colleges

Warfactory has done events at Hazelwood Central, UMSL, and Webster University over the past years.  From lock-ins to fundraisers, school events are always fun and they’re even better if you invite rivals.  What’s best is that we work with you and your team to make it your own event.

Organizing Private Events

A LOT of people e-mail us and say something like this … “Hey!  I have a lot of friends and we all want to play <name of game here>”.

GREAT!  What we need from you is to bring all those friends to Warfactory (or our sister company 2GameGuys) and get them all to sign up.

If you want your own event for CS, Halo, Modern Warfare, or other games … don’t try to do it yourself.  It’s hard work and many groups fail.  Contact us and let us know what you want to do and we’ll me

VIDA LLC announced today the launching of the first ever international players association in professional gaming and in Quake Live, the AGP (Association of Gaming Professionals). The AGP will unite the players to expand and sustain the sport themselves through player legislation, international and regional rankings, and tournament sponsoring and sanctioning.

Warfactory has been heavily involved in this next evolution of E-Sports.  Make sure you check it out!

Hazelwood Central Charity Event – May 16th, 2009

This is a Halo 3/Guitar Hero 3 event.  We’ve promoted Madden 2009 as well, however this may change depending upon registration.  For Halo, there are over 60 registrants so it may very well be a fantastic tournament.

Hours are Noon to 5:30 pm on May 16th.  Only $7 in advance/$10 at the door.  The Red Bull Wings team will be there and prizes will be available! Click for more information …

Warfactory 2009 – July 25, 2009

You’ve been asking and we’re definitely planning.  Thus far we will be going back to IT Enterprises off Natural Bridge.  We want to “revitalize LANs” in the area, so we’re going to depend on you guys to help us make this a fun event.  We will have both PC and Console tournaments and return to a more casual LAN format.

We will need your help to make this and future LANs happen so any of you wanting to help find attendees, sponsors, or help with the event please contact us.
